Local accommodation establishments" are those that provide temporary accommodation services, namely to tourists, for a fee, and that meet the requirements set out in the law.

Under the terms of Municipal Assembly Resolution no. 123/AML/2022, of March 22, published in the 2nd Supplement to the Municipal Bulletin no.º 1469, of April 14, 2022, the authorization of new registrations of local accommodation establishments is suspended for a period of 6 (six) months, without prejudice to its renewal for an equal period, until the entry into force of the amendment to the Municipal Regulation of Local Accommodation, in parishes where there is a ratio between the number of local accommodation establishments and the number of permanent dwellings equal to or greater than 2.5%, current or that will occur during the suspension.

• The parish of Campolide has reached a ratio of 2.5%, so it is announced that under the terms of paragraph 4 of Municipal Assembly Resolution no. 123/AML/2022, the authorization of new registrations of local accommodation establishments in the parish of Campolide is suspended.
• The parish of Beato has reached a ratio of 2.5%, so it is announced on 30/05/2023 that under the terms of paragraph 4 of Municipal Assembly Resolution no. 123/AML/2022, the authorization of new registrations of local accommodation establishments in the parish of Beato is suspended.
