The Municipal Sports Support Program (PMAD) is an important complement to the financial support under the Lisbon Municipal Support Regulation (RAAML), which the municipality has been providing to the entire Associative Movement since 2008.

Through its cultural, social, recreational, sporting and other development policies, Lisbon City Council can support entities that are geared towards promoting the well-being and quality of life of the population, through the implementation of programs, projects or activities that pursue the municipal interest.

Lisbon City Council has a policy of supporting associations, clubs, collectivities, as well as other non-profit entities that work in the sports field, with a view to building their capacity and organization, in order to provide them with additional means to bear the costs arising from the development of the practice of physical and sporting activity.
