Yellow
It's a school mobility project promoted by Lisbon City Council and CARRIS, with the support of the Parish Councils, to promote the use of CARRIS neighborhood bus routes to travel to school, in order to create more sustainable habits in the younger generations and reverse the trend of using individual transport.
Yellow is a project integrated into the objectives of the European UPPER Project, which aims to promote the use of public transport in European cities.
Why choose yellow?
It runs every morning from the neighborhood bus stop to the school gate, with a monitor always present. Free of charge, for ages 5 to 11.

helps reduce traffic and pollution in Lisbon.
supports the construction of a more sustainable and people-friendly city.
How to take part
- Register your child on the Lisbon City Council website;
- Select your preferred school, entry stop and timetable;
- Wait for the Parish Council to contact you;
- Take your child to the stop indicated - the monitor will make sure they get to school safely.
