Civil Protection

In order to provide an immediate response to the emergency situations that occur on a daily basis in the city, Lisbon's Civil Protection has a multidisciplinary team of technicians permanently in place to diagnose and implement the necessary actions to mitigate the effects of the event and restore normality.

This team works in the following areas:

• Assessment of the impact of the accident
• Diagnosis of specific vulnerabilities
• Prevention, emergency and post-emergency support
• Meeting basic needs
• Support for the removal of basic necessities
• Definition of short and medium-term rehabilitation actions

The operational response is supported by a communications room, which ensures interconnection with other civil protection entities and agents, the activation of resources and the permanent attendance of residents.
