Kiss and Ride
Passenger pick-up and drop-off
Kiss & Ride is a lane that allows drivers to drop students off at school safely and quickly, increasing the safety of people and vehicles in the school environment. This lane is not for parking, but for stopping the car, which should not exceed one minute. During this time, students should collect their things, get out of the car and enter the school. The lane is properly signposted so that its location and function are clear.
Kiss & Ride Zone Rules of Use and Safety
- Before getting into the car, make sure the student is ready to leave, preferably sitting on the appropriate side and with their bag within reach; do not park or stop for more than a minute
- Do not stop in the traffic lane, in front of the school's front door, on the sidewalk or on the pedestrian crossing
- Do not overtake stationary vehicles
- Preferably remain inside the vehicle at all times
- As soon as the student gets out of the vehicle, head for the Kiss & Ride exit. Be aware of traffic
The aim is to extend this route to other educational establishments that meet the necessary conditions for its inclusion.
