Meals
School meals are a fundamental part of students' educational experience, providing not only adequate nutrition, but also contributing to health, well-being and school performance
School meals cover all pre-school, basic education and secondary/vocational education students in the public network in the city of Lisbon and are subsidized at 100% for A and B students.
In the 2024/2025 school year, there will continue to be a 50% reduction in the amount to be paid for school meals (lunch) for all children/students who do not fall into the ASE A and B brackets and are enrolled in the public pre-school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of basic and secondary education.
School milk is aimed at pre-school and elementary school pupils.
It is not compulsory, but must be consumed daily as part of educational activities related to food education, and is distributed to students during the morning school break. CML distributes them free of charge to schools during the school term.
Consumption of any school meal (lunch, breakfast and snack) must be booked in advance on the SIGA computer platform provided by the Municipality, for all children/students regardless of their ASE level.
