Family Support Component / Family Support Activities
The Family Support Component is an essential part of education policies that aims to strengthen the partnership between the school and the students' families
The Family Support Component (CAF) and Family Support Activities (AAAF) are a social response to children and families that reinforces the concept of a full-time school.
All schools and kindergartens in the city offer CAF and AAAF. The local authority is the promoter.
Pre-school children and elementary school students.
Activities of a recreational-pedagogical nature, defined and evaluated by the implementing body in partnership with the school group.
The implementing bodies can be: parish councils; parents' associations, private social solidarity institutions or other non-profit organizations.

Attendance at the CAF or AAAF has an associated cost for the student's parents/guardians, according to the classification in classes A and B of the School Social Action - See Tuition Fees
- pre-school education - from 08h00 to 09h00 and from 15h00 to 17h30
- 1.primary school - from 08h00 until the start of classes and from the end of classes until 19h00
- School breaks / vacations (except August) - from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m
Parents/Guardians should contact the School Group and register their child within the stipulated deadline.
