Maria Luísa Aldim has a degree in Political Science from Nova School of Business and Economics and more than fifteen years of professional experience in the electronic payments and financial services sector.
She was Secretary General of ANIPE - Associação Nacional de Instituições de Pagamento e Moeda Eletrónica (National Association of Payment Institutions and Electronic Money), the sector's representative institution in Portugal, and has played an important role in the dialog between financial entities, regulators and technological innovation agents. She is also Ambassador in Portugal for the European Women Payments Network (EWPN), a European organization dedicated to promoting diversity and gender equality in the payments and fintech sector.
She has also worked as a consultant for payment fintechs, focusing on the areas of business development andcompliance for financial institutions, supporting the sustainable growth and digital modernization of the sector.
In the political sphere, he is vice-president of the CDS - Partido Popular and President of the Lisbon County Council. In carrying out his duties, he favors public policies focused on innovation and inclusion, promoting a city that values social justice, human development, education and participatory citizenship.
She is guided by a vision of Lisbon as an open, collaborative and equitable city, where technological progress goes hand in hand with community well-being and the defense of fundamental rights.
She is the author of the book "Great Speeches of the 20th Century", a collection of outstanding texts from Portuguese political history in the 20th century.
She is 39 years old. She is the mother of 3 children.
