To exercise all the powers legally attributed to the Municipal Police of the municipality of Lisbon
Ensure, in a centralized manner, the inspection actions to be carried out within the scope of the municipality's legal attributions and competences, namely in matters of urban planning, economic activities, urban environment, traffic, among others, with the exception of those that require technical verification by the municipal services and that are enshrined in their competences
Carry out inspections at the request of the municipal services
Detecting and reporting anomalies and situations that require intervention by other municipal services, so that they can be repaired
Ensuring the surveillance, protection and maintenance of order in the areas subject to the forestry regime in the municipality of Lisbon
Cooperating in the maintenance of public tranquillity and the protection of the local community, carrying out public security duties in the surveillance of public spaces or spaces open to the public
Drawing up notices of acts that constitute mere social offenses, providing the resulting data and proposing to the Legal Department the opening of the respective administrative offence proceedings
