Municipal property

Supervision of municipal property, namely illegal occupation of buildings, creating the necessary safety conditions for the eviction, decided by the council, of improperly occupied municipal dwellings, and inspection of irregularities on municipal land

Environmental Protection / Forestry Police

Activities carried out by the Forestry Police (Special Environmental Inspection Brigade). Surveillance, protection and maintenance of the Monsanto Forest Park and the other woodlands and forest parks in Lisbon subject to the forestry regime, namely by ensuring compliance with municipal regulations, preventing and collaborating in firefighting, protecting various species of fauna and flora, collecting wild animals, carrying out environmental education activities, monitoring events and surveillance of municipal equipment in these spaces

Compliance with legislation on animals, namely the movement of potentially dangerous animals on public roads, licenses, insalubrity, noise, collection of large animals and protection of municipal teams in the collection of stray animals

Construction inspection, to detect possible changes to projects, compliance with deadlines established in licenses, detecting and repressing clandestine construction

Street vending

Checks on street vending activities, including licenses and the seizure of items being sold illegally

Public Safety

Cooperating in the maintenance of public tranquillity and the protection of the local community by monitoring public spaces or spaces open to the public, namely by inspecting works on the public highway, occupation of the public highway (street furniture, advertising in historic districts) and incivilities
