FUTURE SKILLS - TECH & DIGITAL AND SOFT SKILLS

It is very importante to provide the community with a set of skills that enable it to think, act, adapt, innovate and progress in an increasingly unstable and unpredictable world.

In addition to technical skills, soft skills are a factor of differentiation in the labour market and of personal and organisational transformation.

Working on the skills of the future, with reference to the skills identified by the World Economic Forum for 2025, was the motto for the development of a self-assessment model, which provides the opportunity to (re)discover the talent of each person.

Resilience, creativity, analytical skills, problem solving, innovation, active learning, leadership, use of technology and programming are some of the most relevant skills for the future of work and, as such, deepened in environments of excellence, such as the Lisboa Entrepreneurship Week, in which the Future of Work Initiative developed the Lisboa Talent Game, with the following goals:

  • Provide an experience of self-discovery to each participant, so that they remain capable in anticipating and/or adapting to new contexts and to new demands.
  • Create and develop talent in Lisboa and promote better conditions for the future, aggregating the relevant actors.

This commitment began in 2020, through the support of the initiative Grow Using Applied Improv: The 5C Workshop, which aimed to foster and strengthen key competences through the use of a differentiated, interactive and playful methodology, based on Improvisation Theatre.

Projects and Partnerships

Anticipating and acting upon future skills are goals that we have come to achieve through the design and provision of support to specific initiatives, on which we intend to continue focusing.
